We are looking for mature people, who are committed to a long term position with a good package and a clear growth path. This person should have a good command of the English language, ideally a background in publishing/printing or have subject knowledge experience, to enable us to manage all phases of the production process for assigned projects, including budgeting and scheduling, author relations, copyediting, composition, proofreading, illustrations, printer's proof and final file management.

This role requires excellent communication skills to be able to coordinate with authors, editors, copyeditors, production teams and colleagues. A keen eye for detail is imperative as is grammatical accuracy. You will need to keep projects within budget and ensure publication dates are met often working to demanding deadlines. You should be organised and be a team player having 2-5 years of experience in publishing.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Excellent knowledge of English grammar and written and spoken English language skills.
Education to post graduation level.
Detail-oriented with a good eye for detail and grammatical accuracy – QC skills or Proof reading background will be ideal.
Effective Project Management skills.
Ability to handle a varied workload often working to tight deadlines to meet quality standards and scheduled publications dates.
Background in Medical/Academic/Journals Publishing.
Specialist subject knowledge.
Good interpersonal skills.
Enthusiastic and highly motivated.
Computer literate.
Previous Production Editor, experience a bonus.
The person should be willing to re-locate to Trivandrum or should be a local resident.
